When I try to download files in sendspace.com using internet cafes this is the msg I've got:

    sendspace proxy* detection test results:
We have detected you are connected to sendspace via a proxy*.

    Proxy IP Address : 203.115.131.74
    Your real IP address: Unknown

*A proxy server, or a shared IP, allows many computers on a network to share a single IP connection to the Internet. It is commonly used at places of employment, universities and some Internet Service Providers. This test checks to see if we can detect a proxy is in use.

We have detected you are connected to sendspace via a proxy. You will need to join sendspace Max™ to use our service.

I cannot download the files I want to download coz it requires me to join Max service in which I am not interested. o_O

What other free file sharing service you can possibly recommends that don't requires many "requisites", toolbars installations, or many blah blahs just so we can download any files in any internet connection anywhere we are or even if we just using internet cafes? :argh: o_O

Why are you using a proxy? For privacy or because download slots are not available? Try GigaSize.

As I have said above, sometimes I am using the Internet Cafes for fast connections when I try to download big files using the portable flash drives....:cautious: ....

Actually, I have tried mediafire.com and I was successfull in downloading files on this free site without any problems.

I believe sweater is looking for file hosting sites not file sharing clients (P2P).

Divshare is usually pretty good, with no wait periods.

Adrive gives you a fat 50gig on the free account. 50 freaking gig. When I recall that my first hard drive was 20 meg, we've come a long way, baby...
