What free antivirus are you using on windows 10 in 2016?

Windows AV, at least until the 1607 settles down some more. It's adequate for most purposes anyway, just needs a little security boost here and there.

No free av at all. sandboxie,zemana, hitmanproalert. if i would use a free av it would be avast.

 

Why avast just wondering?

 

I don't use AV anymore currently. In fact I don't use free AV. Majority are pretty packaged with PUP if you're not careful and overlook those ticks.

But I do install BD Free Beta on my family's laptop. What I like is the "over-simplicity". No buttons to click; just a slider to enable/disable protection and thats it.

 

I'm satisfied with Windows Defender + HitmanPro.Alert on one machine and have no plans to change that any time soon.

 

its the only free av i have ever used and my family too, because of me. i had never problems with it and it safed my family quit often with max settings. if u configure it right u dont need to make anything. it is just there and does the job nice.

 

NWO,ive used either avast free or avira free since 2002 and have been virus free from that point on
