What Firefox extensions can possibly affect net speed?

Firefox v1.0.7 is my default browser… it’s easy to use and has lots of useful extensions, and I’m pretty excited on their final release of the new v1.5. But I was wondering then, that maybe some of its extensions can cause a slow down in internet speed. As I’m just using dial-up connection, so anything that can affect my already slow connection I can possibly uninstall.

 

First you should tell us what extensions you have?

Its my experience that extensions dont slow down browsing speed, I have about 6 extensions, and no slow down.

 

I have 14 extensions, some I use often and some occasionally. I am on dial-up, just curious if some of them affects net speed browsing.

 

I dont think that they would, however I use only one of those extensions, and Im also on dail-up, and have had no problems with any extension I have ever used.

 

I'm using these on Firefox 1.5, and until now they work fine...

For sure anything that requires additional connections to other websites that otherwise wouldn't be needed or very big complicated extensions.
