    For me in order:

    1. Detection and removal rate. By far the most important criteria
    2. Easy on system resources/doesn't bog down machine
    3. Compatible with other software on PC
    4. Easy to use

    From highest to lowest priority:

    1) Support/Virus submission analysis service
    2) Price and Renewal discount
    3) Detection rate (signature detection, heuristics I can make compromises with, but good heuristics is an added bonus and definitely is a factor :D. Also, any AV that scores a Standard level in AV-comparatives' on-demand test is good enough if it fulfills my other priorities :))
    4) GUI (But I'm flexible in this regard, for example even Dr.Web's gaudy GUI is OK for me)
    5) Compatibility and Stability

1)Compatiblity (Av without compatiblity doesn't make any sense).
    2)Flexible settings.
    3)Detection.
    4)Removal of Malware.
    5)computer resources usage.
    6)Self protection.
