    Hi All

    Need some help.

Just bought a Windows 7 64 bit HP Pavilion computer. I want to back up (image) my drive using Macrium Reflect free. When I boot Reflect it shows the following:

    Three Partitions

    1) 100MB Called System Type = Active (Yes it is 100MB not GB)

    2) 583 GB Called HP (C:) Type = Primary

    3) 12.599 GB Called Factory_Image Type = Primary

My Question is which of these partitions do I back up?

    Thanks for your help

    Terry

All of them :) The first part is needed to boot into your O/S, the second is the O/S, while the third contains system recovery data. HP should also allow you to create one set of recovery disks (probably 3 in total). You should see that option in your programs menu or Control Panel. I don't remember which one it was on my HP laptop, but it should be there.
