Six now for Antivir. Four for Nod32. Where are all the die hard AVG Free users, or at last one or two AOL AVS users? The problem with Comodo and AVG has been taken care of, and I know there are people using them together.

Right now, I'm experimenting with Comodo and Antivir. I like this combo, and might buy Antivir premium.

My only complaint about Antivir is that the tray icon disappears and reappears for signature updates.

I understand about the Guard disapperaing it kinda bothers me too. It is still protecting the PC, but with that and the Notifier Window then popping up as well it just seems there is alot going on for a simple update. Since I am feeling better about AVG Free's detection along with the protection Comodo offers, I may switch back. I really do like Antivir, and they have made improvements on it. (Lowered memory usage, and the Guard disappering is said to be on the list of things to change) However, the nag screen is most likely here to stay. To stay on topic though, Comodo did work well with Avg Free when I used them together. Sorry about the venting. LOL.

    All,
See my set ups below. No problems or slow downs on my family machine with the combo Comodo, AOL AVS. ;)

Antivir at 7 now and Nod at 5. Finally one for AOL AVS to go along with 1 for AVG Free. I also liked AVS, but it gave me a BSOD with SKPF version 4.3.2 when I used then together. Never had one using AVS with Comodo though, and maybe it was my imagination that my PC ran slower with that combo than any other. I know I miss the features of AVS. Thanks so far to everyone.

AOL AVS Scanner ONLY, other features + auto update disabled + Stop Sign

I just dont like how AOL digs itself deep into your system overkill on the system services being written to the registry.

That last NOD32 makes it a tie for first place with Antivir PE at 6 each, since I uninstalled Antivir yesterday and reinstalled AOL AVS again. I just like the way AVS updates with no Notifier Window, and disappearing Icon. AVS provides some Spyware detection too, and I feel that along with the IDS that CPF has I'm well protected. MY PC seems to run ok, and I now that I log off before my wife logs on, there isn't a lot of delay when switching. Honestly though, there's something about all the Free AV's that I've used including Avast (although I didn't use it with CPF) with it's Web Guard.

I just yesterday dumped McAfee PF8.0 bloatware (8 services, 10 running files, 88+MB RAM!) and installed Comodo (1 service, 2 running files, 28MB RAM). I love it so far! Installer worked like a charm using Automatic install option. Once I defined my LAN I was online with no problems! No conflicts with onboard Avast Antivirus (FYI, only 4 Shields running: Ntwk, Standard, Mail & Web).

I also run SpywareDoctor all realtime Guards on but Hosts File Protection guard (not because it might conflict with Comodo, but HFP Guard runs at every boot and uses 55% cpu like full scans). I auto scan with SWD every morning and let it catch & disinfect baddies then. FYI, I have turned on Hosts Protection in SWD to test and still no conflicts with Comodo & SWD.

Avast now tied with KAV at third place with 3 users and CPF. (AOL AVS has 3 with me included, but 1 is scanner only)

Avast Home. Everything seems fine. These are two of the best freeware programs that I've come across!

Avast just took second place at 4 users with CPF. With new build out yesterday it may catch up even more.

I wanted to see if KAV6 works well with CPF (2.3.6.81), and it does for me. That's with KAV firing on all cylinders. Good combo!

Three way tie now for second place place between, Avast, AVS, and KAV. With Antivir and NOD still tied at first.
