    I also use:

    For playing videos:
SMPlayer - plays most videos without the need for extra codecs. After trying a number of different media players I have found this to be the best one for me.

For the times when I do need codecs to decode videos I install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. There a several alternatives to this, but I stick with K-Lite because it works well and clearly a lot of time and effort has been put into making this.

    Driver updates:
    DriverHound
    Advanced Driver Updater
    Drive The Life

    Disk cleanup:
Quick Heal PCTuner - this is a paid program from the makers of Quick Heal anti-virus. It does a good (but slow) job of doing disk cleanups, and also includes a registry cleaner (something that's generally not needed - but at least this one does not remove any needed registry entries which is very rare indeed). What I really like about it, is that the disk and privacy cleaners are separate - which suits me as I like to do occasional disk cleanups but never want to clean any usage/history data. Of course most cleaners do both at once and you have to go through and deselect the privacy cleaning options.

    Diagnostics:
BlueScreenView - this is an invaluable tool which analyzes the crash dumps Windows generates when you got a blue screen of death (BSOD). For example I was fixing a computer this morning when I got a BSOD. White the actual BSOD screen gave me no useful information, BlueScreenView was able to list the drivers which could have caused the crash. There were a couple of drivers from Spyware Doctor running - even though it had been uninstalled many months ago. I deleted these files, and hopefully no more blue screens.

My security setup may change from time to time but,
Shadow Defender and Macrium Reflect have a permanent place here.

Hope you don't mind the question, but are you using an application launcher to run those apps, or is a theme?

    -edit-

I suppose it's a theme, because I noticed you got Appetizer, which is an app launcher.

    -end of edit-

Now, back on the topic itself, I consider that my two "must have" applications are the Chromium web browser and PowerShell, which is already part of Windows 7.

Of course, I make use of other useful apps, but nothing that can't be easily replaced with alternatives as good or better than them.

No, it's Appetizer with Dark Glass skin from their site and some changes in the "Appearance" settings. I was trying it out because i got a little bored with the launcher i currently have (StandaloneStack). It may be very basic but i like it
