    Hi,
I hear a lot, I mean a lot about some softwares.
Such as Sandboxie, Returnil, Threat Fire, Geswall.
I can't find what these softwares are exactly for.
Can someone explain it for me?
    Thank you in advance :)

P.S any software that fits for a family PC?

    Sandboxie is a sandbox program.
The idea is that you can run programs in Sandboxie and data is kept in a storage area that can be dumped.

From the website-"Sandboxie intercepts changes to both your files and registry settings, making it virtually impossible for any software to reach outside the sandbox.

Sandboxie traps cached browser items into the sandbox as a by-product of normal operation, so when you throw away the sandbox, all the history records and other side-effects of your browsing disappear as well. "

Here's the website and they have diagrams that may help explain it better.

Threat Fire is former Cyberhawk, now PC Tools. It's a behaviour blocker. It analyzes your pc in search of suspicious behaviour of possible malware. It's still in beta stage. http://www.threatfire.com/
