What are the things (hardware/softwares, settings, etc.) that can really affect internet surfing speed? o_O
Forgive me if I’m asking this question this way coz I’m just a beginner and still in the process of learning many techno things in a simpler ways. I’ll appreciate any advice and suggestions that can be posted here. ;)

    Hi
from my observations. these can affect internet surfing speed
    1-RAM in the first place
    2-connection speed it self
3-how fast is the computer’s memory (read/write). you can test it with Everest.
    http://www.lavalys.hu/index.php
    open Everest>benchmark>memory read /write
    4-distance (country)
5-and on very rare cases the motherboard
didn’t notice any increase in speed by using “speedy soft wares”especially on DSL or cable connection what they do is optimisation not actual increase in the connection speed (reducing pictures quality for ex. to make page load faster)
