What AntiVir settings do you use?

Do you guys use the default settings, or do you tell it to scan/monitor all files and all archives (with no recursion depth limit?), as well as enabling the Win32 file heuristics?

 

scan all files and enable full hueristics.

 

I'm using Avira Security Suite, but AV section set the same as trjam.

 

I have scan all files enabled under the Scanner configuration and also heuristics set to high in scanner, guard and mailguard. I have firewall settings set to high security level and hostfile locked. I am using the security suite.

In the Guard configuration;
Enabled Win32 heuristics,scan all files,unpack compressed files,scan while reading and writing.
In Expert Mode General tab I have checked the boxes for:
Phishing,Backdoor Client,Double Extension files.

 

Avira is extremely light on resources...that being said...setting all of the security settings to "high" and enabling ALL of its features will not slow your pc down at all...at least that has been my experience.

 

When I use it, all detections enabled and maxed. As has been said, no slow downs.
