Well of course, as you have ABP installed. It blocks those video ads even without the annotation filter. I was talking about NoScript solo.

This is what I call annotations:

Yeah, they work sorta similar. NoScript used to be able to block video ads while keeping the video annotations to be visible. Unless my memory is being dull and NoScript never had the ability to block YT video ads to start with. :doubt:

NoScript solo, I get ads and annotations. With ABP without YouTube other annoyances filter, I still get annotations. And with the annoyances filter, I get rid of annotations.:)

I disabled AdBlock Plus (ABP) and trying out uBlock in my Firefox browser. Becomes curious about how true are the performance effect on cpu and memory and even in browsing speed and snappiness coz it sounds amazing.

Hhmmnn...just installed uBlock by default, any more advised on how to make it more effective but not annoying?

Still relying exclusively on my router for all advertisement/banner/tracker blocking made relatively easy with OpenWrt.

    UTM/NGFW Adblocker (Sophos UTM).

Accentuated by uBlock (Default) w/Admuncher. Admuncher is merely there to utilize it's heuristic iFrame and Webbug blocking technologies.
