How safe are the default settings used in Sandboxie? I don't have any folders locked, but on the other hand I don't have any folders allowed either. o_O

Depend on your surfing ,USB connections,CD player or anything what can connect to your PC.Defaults are pretty safe and mostly related to internet,if you need more area's sandboxed then it has to configure that way within in the SBIE control. For example CD player can be sandboxed or disable autorun or do both.

FYI nice thing with SBIE you can run anything Sandboxed with a rightclick !

Now all malware on your system partition will go crazy : isolated in a desert, no data to steal and doomed to die. They don't deserve any better.

You could also just create a shortcut for it

    Code:
    "C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Start.exe" /box:DefaultBox "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

    Sandboxie will improve your security.
Suppose your scanner doesn't detect a new malware and this new malware comes via your browser. It will be trapped in the sandbox and won't be able to do anything and will be removed when you close your browser.
End of new malware story. :)

No, not at all. Let's say you get infected. Does it really matter if Sandboxie is configured to eraser when there are no sandboxed apps running. In that case, no harm no foul.

Yes it does And should not need to be right click for the browser.just a double click and away you go.

Or, you can set it up soi that it is a forced program that way you'll be sure that whenever you use it you'll be protected by SBIE. That would be my choice, ensuring that I don't forget.

Paste that line to the shortcut's target command.

    right click on shortcut->properties

but it's weird that you don't have the automatic shortcut.
It's a "pizza like" icon, and I believe the text is "run default browser sandboxed"

Yes, there are some clever guys over at the Sandboxie forums, some coders themself and are of a great help for Tzuk,if it were not for these people,SBIE i guess would quickly become history. Here we have a nice example of cooperation of vendor and users,it looks almost like an open source project ! ;)

With Sandboxie's "Run Default Browser" desktop icon you can also right click - Rename to your browser and also change the icon to suit.

FF with Noscript and AdblockPlus and it never crashes running sandboxed.

Cheater, you said FF is crashing "more" when sandboxed, so is it crashing when run normally as well?
