Okay so lets take a look

    Your image:

    His image:

His says that the regular price is 10 bucks more and that you save 10 bucks more. The topic is your deceptive advertising/promos where the 1-Day Only special happens regularly (lol) and somehow you managed to make a connection that adding 10 bucks to reg price and 10 bucks to $ saved means he is trying to cause trouble when he mentioned absolutely nothing about the price.

With all the things XPSunny tried to pull on our forums, submitting fake malware, etc. etc. I have no idea what he/she's motivation is/was.

Maybe adding 10 bucks to reg price and to $ saved hurts the user base :D

Yeah because as soon as they see the name of the topic and read about your deceptive advertising, they immediately check-out a copy, right? LOL.

Actually because we are well respected and have over 12 million active users, and offer great deals for our users.

LOL! You should know by now that products are only ">" than another product for an instance in time - no single product can catch everything thing on a given day and they never will. We detect lots that MBAM misses, they detect things we miss, SAS+MBAM detect things other products miss, and other products detect things SAS+MBAM miss -it's the reality of the "game".

Issuing a statement such as you did and then using the cowards bailout of "kthxbai" with no results, data or facts to back up your statement essentially shows lack of actual understanding.

Both SAS and MBAM are quality products - each has their strengths and using multiple tools to fight spyware is always the best plan.

this thread is becoming a pointless flame fest and should probably be closed because it is getting absolutely no where.

This thread has actually got me interested in buying an SAS licence. The advert in this thread is quite a good deal but I can't seem to find it on the SAS site.

Anybody got a link to this offer?
I assume it is for a yearly subscription or is it a lifetime licence?

    MBAM > SAS

What other "instance of time" would I be referring to other than now?
Lol. SAS has bad zero-day protection and SAS misses more than MBAM :). My friend's comp got screwed because SAS didn't detect the rogue 2008 XP Antivirus on day zero :D. Guess how I got rid of it? With MBAM! The reality of the "game" is that MBAM has a better detection rate and a faster response time. That's why I (and many others before me) switched to MBAM ;]

    Pointless? Maybe.
Flame fest? Except for a couple of posts, I don't think so.
    Closed? The mods will decide.
Don't like this thread? Plenty of others to read.
    Chill, buddy. :D

I am not going to debate this in this thread as it's out of context, but I would be happy to do it in an appropriate thread.

We detect thousands of threats that MBAM does not detect, just as they detect items we don't detect.

If our software didn't work, we wouldn't have 12 million users.

You have 12 million users because a high percentage of them are free users. Everyone knows that a business model that incorporates a freebie is bound to have a larger user base. It's the same for people who get AVG Free instead of getting Avira / Norton, for example.

This thread is a sad example on many levels.

People who feel that there is always a conspiracy, like it because it somehow shows that.

People who want to bash, like it because they can.

Those who believe any press is good press, like it because there is "press".

    I'm ashamed of it all.

I'll be writing a new policy, similar to the "no a vs. b" allowed policy, unique (and hated by many) to Wilders Security. But you know what, I don't care what those "many" think. I make these policies because I believe in them.

Shameful, this has been. (a nod to BigC's yoda, there was in that comment. ;) )

    :isay:
