Wehntrust seems useful

I tested WT with several exploit pages. It did good job stopping all living exploits.

Seems an interesting tool.

 

Are you running version 1.2? There seems to still be an outstanding issue with
Wehntrust listed here: http://xforce.iss.net/xforce/xfdb/24315
Whether this is a major problem, I don't know.

It mimics some of the benefits of Vista (Address Space Layout Randomisation), on XP machines. Combined with Comodo Memory FireWall you should have a good protection against all sorts of overflow attacks.

Be awre that WehnTrust can cause system hangups on XP SP3, so I am surprised it still works on your test rig (what OS are you using?)

Another thing to be aware of if you haven't already noticed is that WehnTrust will create a subfolder under either %SystemRoot% or %SystemRoot%\system32 (I forget which one) called RANDCACHE. It then fills this folder with a copy of every executable you run, so if you have a smaller partition with Windows on it and a larger one with all of your applications and data, you may find yourself running low on free space.
