It would be OK with the AV only version as you would not need Spyshelter with WSA-E or WSA-C as they have Identity Shield and the full Anti-Malware from WSA!

That is correct...it converts it. That is how I bought mine about 2 weeks ago. It takes a little longer since you download the older product but moves quickly when you go to WSA Essentials.

Thanks for the info...this is a great deal!

I was already running a trial of WSA Complete when I saw this and purchased Webroot Internet Security 2011 from DownloadCrew. When I entered the keycode from downloadcrew into WSA Complete it was changed to a different keycode and now shows as a trial with 365 days remaining. I also am not able to register the keycode with Webroot so I can't access the Backup & Sync features. Anyone else with this issue?

    Hi all!

    Two concerns:

    1. I don't want to have to download any 2011 products, or anything besides WSA for that matter. Can I confirm this can be done simply by purchasing the '11 key and inputting that into the installer of Webroot SecureAnywhere?

    2. I am opposed to the way Webroot SecureAnywhere handles saving configuration files. I have already expressed to Joe that I don't like the quarantine being saved, but more relevant here...it saves your license key! So, with the fact in mind that I already set it up thoroughly and never want to have to do that again, how can I import my configuration into a new installation of WSA without screwing up the licensure of my new key or my old key that I already have used on 3 PCs?

I really wish WSA at least had the option to exclude quarantine, license key, and ideally detection confg from the saved configuration file. This is stuff you don't always want to copy over, while everything else you do want to.

I too have purchased the $4.95(AU) Webroot 2011 deal from Download Crew (thanks jjc225 for the link!) and have sucessfully upgraded to a full WRSA licence. I followed the instructions given in post #5 on the Webroot Community Forum at http://community.webroot.com/t5/Other-Webroot-Products/Buying-2011-Boxed-products-and-conversion-to-WSA-2012/m-p/1740#M8

As instructed I emailed Webroot Support with the 2011 code and they gave me a new WRSA code within 12 hours, which I used when installing WRSA - no need to download or install the 2011 product. WRSA Essentials is now fully functional and working well - very impressed

Now I'm off to change my signature :D

If you purchase a 2011 product just contact WSA support and they will convert the key for you before hand and then it's a non issue!

Ok noted. Thank you, Triple Helix.

I guess we are waiting on PrevxHelp for an answer regarding the best way to go about transferring configuration over when using a different license.

Yes as I don't use the function myself to me it's not a big deal of reinstalling and setting it all up the way I like it and I do change the configuration allot as if I can see some of the issues that other users are having at that time to try and help them out!

Not for me or anyone with clinical Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. :thumbd:

I spent probably 5-10 minutes at least per setting page scanning each word of each option to make sure I was setting what I thought I was. :cautious:

Whether or not I belong in a sanitarium is another issue. I want to set it up once and never again! :)

Just wanted to post to advocate that the deal is legit and I recommend it, just as others have done! :thumb:

Got mine as well. Prevx support sent me a new key and I was able to install WSA Essentials. Just 2 (tiny) issues :
    - impossible to create an account at webroot.com, because the key is not recognized by the website (sent an email to support about that) ;
    - just disabled the firewall, since I already have Outpost Firewall Pro and Defensewall, so I guess a 3rd one might be excessive. However, that made the tray icon grey, which is not a big deal, but I just prefered it grey lol.

You can run the WSA firewall with your setup as I still use Look'N'Stop Firewall with it and without issues!

You think 3 would be ok ?
Outpost firewall + DW firewall + WSA firewall ?
