    sly stone,
Ah, I've only been asked to submit/upload wsalogs. Not via http://www.filedropper.com/createaccount.php
As I recall wsalogs uploaded on the 9th (and notified Ticket Support at the time) and Ticket Support replied on the 15th. A few times. I've waited a week for Ticket Support reply and sometimes reply next (business) day. Maybe, call Webroot Support.

Why, I can't upload the file to them and they don't have away to email it to them. I see a problem that I'm not going to be using them. I told them the file was 6mgs and they sent me to a place that only uploads 5mgs and told me to email the people who run the site. If I wanted to pay i could upload the file? It's not that big a deal but the fact is webroot secure to me is not the greatest antivirus it takes too long to figure out if something is a threat or not, and now support seems to be terrible. But hey i payed $5.00 for the software, I haevn't been able to test it for real and that's fine so unless i want to change to panda free or something that is very very light it is what it is. I just don't see how people say webroot support is great. And if anyone knows if that db file can be deleted it would be great since I spent almost a hour trying to get info to support. Not going to happen.

The reason they want waslogs is so they can check everything that is being monitored and whitelist your unknown files. I just tried waslogs and it works fine here as it only needs outbound from your PC to get it to them. So are you using any other security apps that could be blocking wsalogs from sending? If you like send me a PM with your email address that you contacted Webroot with and I can check into it for you!

    Thanks,

    Daniel

I would not just delete the files. The blue dbxxxx.db files under Programdata>WRdata are used by WSA to rollback when it detects suspicious behaviour. If these files grow, there is a chance that you have a problem, so it is better to have the logs sent to support, to have any unknown files whitelisted. The wsalogs utility has always worked fine for me (except once when the issue was another security program), and their support turnaround has always been < 12 hours, even though I am UTC +2. After any whitelisting, a scan should resolve the issue, but Support will advise.

I agree that WSA Support has never been quite what some posters in Wilders and Webroot Community Forums have hyped it as being in terms of speed of response. However, in WSA's defence, I would add the rider that the speed of response is related proportionally to the seriousness/urgency of the issue. If it is a critical issue, I personally find their response time is pretty good.
I humbly beg to disagree with you. My almost 10 years realtime experience with Prevx from 2006 onwards followed by WSA after they took over Prevx's technology (from 2010) has been awesome (although I would agree that some of the added bits are far from being up to the standard of their core AV technology).
With others who have posted responses to this query, I would STRONGLY advise against deleting any db files. This part of WSA is fundamental to its approach. It is tracking any changes made to your disk by Unknown files so that if these files are subsequently found to be malicious, WSA can rollback any malicious changes made to your computer. Better by far, as some have already said, to get any unknown files whitelisted by Support (unless of course malicious) and then those large db files should be automatically flushed by WSA.

Hey triple hex and paulderdash thanks for some info. I did not delete the file, it's right back in the webroot folder. I would think it's ok to delete db scan logs as they have already happened? Plus they can be over 500mgs. As far as waslogs, I have nothing but Webroot working on my desk top, I shut off webroot totally, I have free malware scanners, four web browsers, secunia psi,cc cleaner, and printer software that i turn on when needed. I turned off all fire walls, I looked at anything that i could shut down or that would cause a wsalog failed and then email tech support. They never came back with did you try this or that. Instead they said go to fire dropper which didn't work and yes i was talking about my file was 6gbs large and file dropper free didn't do anything that large. Today tech support emailed me again and I asked them can I email it to you, do you have another upload site, or is there anything else we can do? If not I'm done. Ii spent over a hour on a file that if i came here i would have said nope i won't delete it, because I got useful info, again thanks paulderdash. I still have a bad taste in my mouth about webroot tech support going back to 2008 when i bought Spysweeper. They were terrible then.Triple Hex i don't know how to send a pm? I never did it. Give me a idea how to do it because I might need to do that in the future . You people are heads and tails smarter than me.Can't be hard but run me through it. And look I'm not trying to be a jerk and i don't hate webroot. It was scan my computer for a file i can upload you? Then when they had no answers for why the waslog failed and sent me to the file dropper site, 2008 started all over.Hey if I'm infected and i email support for advice I'm screwed because the waslogs don't work, right? Answer, don't get infected.

Oh by the way the way Webroot monitors files is in my judgement the reason that malware and other infections get through. It's way too slow and takes too long to reach a desision. If it's malware or a unknown file that seems like malware give me the decision to delete it or not. Unless changes are made i won't renew again. Even at $5.00 unless my computer gets worse and I don't have a choice. but i have said this before and stayed with Ariva antivirus alot longer than I had thought. Webroot possitives are very low resources like 6-7mgs most of the day and no fps But I'll take a more aggressive antivirus over a passive one any day. however I'm not the smartest tool in the box so i do online research until I'm satisfied Give me the choice to quarantine or not? However I passed on bitdefender, Avast, and many others because they were too aggressive. Who knows i'm just a old fart with poor health and when i can work on my computer i try to do too much. BUT LOVE THIS FORUM. Trust.

And did you take the time to learn how WSA works? See here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqvVTE8-fA4

Upon launching Photoshop I accidentally clicked on "Block" in the WSA popup alerting me that one of my Photoshop files was attempting to access the internet. How do I unblock that?

okay finally got it working not sure what the issue was. the new lic gave me 458 days for some reason instead of 365 it was never activated before just now so not sure. do you know if i can remove the extras that come with it like backup and sync (on the kids phones they dont need it) without it affecting the main program?

Webroot Filtering Extension 1.2.0.19 (presumably due to 9.0.6.14 update) again unsigned in Firefox 42.

Yep, it was unsigned in Firefox v41 and it's still unsigned. This will become a real problem in Firefox 44 where installing unsigned extensions will not be allowed.
