Webroot blocking weather gadget

    I seem to be having a problem of webroot blocking weather gadget on win 7 ?


    Any ideas ?

    I thought Windows Gadgets in Vista/7 were discontinued due to serious vulnerabilities found, and the workaround was to disable that feature.

    I continue to use them without issues even though they stopped supporting them and the vulnerabilities are in 99% of the software out there again if you have no issues I see no problem and I feel well protected IMHO.

    I never did use the Gadgets system anyway. Just pointing out that they've been discontinued, due to the vulnerabilities.

    The discontinued status just means that they no longer host any for download mainly.. the ones originally built in have not been disabled. They run fine for me too :)
