Webpages timeout

I recently stayed in a hotel in Lancaster, PA that had wireless internet. I was able to connect to their hotspot but all of the webpages I went to either loaded very slow, incopletey or timed out. As soon as I disabled the Eset Firewall, everything worked normally.

Any thoughts?

It is difficult to say what the problem could have been without knowing more about your computer (version of Windows, version of ESET Smart Security, ESET Personal Firewall's configuration and so forth) and that of the WLAN at the hotel in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

If you visit there again, you can contact ESET's technical support department via phone at +1 (866) 343-3738 and a technical support engineer will be able to review the settings and run tests with you to determine the root cause of this behavior.
