Just purchased SecureAnywhere Essentials (tired of waiting to be transferred from Prevx 3 :p ) and have noticed the Web Threat Shield doesn't appear to be functioning in 64 bit Internet Explorer 9. I get no green checkmarks (or red crosses) next to my search results. It does appear to be working though when I use 32 bit IE9.

    I therefore have some questions:

    1. Is the Web Threat Shield working in x64 IE9 or is this just a graphical glitch?

    2. If the Web Threat Shield doesn't work in x64 IE9, is there anything else which isn't functional?

    3. Should I be using 32 bit IE9 to get full WRSA functionality?

Thanks in advance. Apart from this issue so far I'm happy with what I see from WRSA.

I'm using IE9 with WSA Complete and it's (threat shield) working fine. I don't recall anyone on the Webroot forum mentioning that issue but maybe Triple Helix will be here shortly and give more info.

Yes the search in IE9x64 does not show any check marks but not sure about the rest of Web Threat Shield but you still have Identity Shield functionality the lock on the tray Icon when on HTTPS sites! And as you said the IE9x86 works totally fine so I would assume it's on the list as more Browsers are becoming x64 like Waterfox and such! We will have to wait for Joe to make a comment!

    Windows 7 x64 has both versions of IE9 x64 and x86! ;)

You're still receiving the rest of the protection - just not search result annotations when using a 64bit browser.

    Hope that helps!

Ok thanks. So it just means I can't see which sites are considered a threat before visiting them. I can live with that as long as threat sites are still blocked from loading.

Congratulations on what seems to be a worthy successor to Prevx :thumb:
