Hello, I'm allowing my customers to edit their own website and sometimes they upload files with malware and viruses to the server.

Do you have any suggestions on software or scripts I could use that I could add on to a HTML editor that will scan the files when they are uploaded?

Just like an email system would.

    Hello,

You could try running the BSD, Linux or Solaris version of ESET Server Security on the computer. That would prevent malware from being uploaded to the server if on-access scanning were being used, but the end-user would not receive a notification. Another option might be to use the command-line scanner with the web editor to scan attachments after they have been uploaded, assuming it has support for such functionality.

You can contact your local ESET reseller, distributor or office for more information or to obtain an evaluation copy of the software.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky
