Glad to see this is available, and thanks for the note about uninstalling (and saving the profile). I'm sure I would have installed "over the top" and caused all manner of mayhem...:cautious:

I'm getting 'flickering' and almost impossible scrolling with release 14.0.1. Been using Waterfox since version 8 and never had a problem. I installed correctly - first uninstalling the older one. Smooth scrolling is enabled. Is anyone having a similar issue, and would someone have any solution to this problem. As it stands, the browser is unacceptable.

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
    Intel Core i7 processor
    8 Gigs of Ram
    GeForce GT 555M graphics card
    Cuda and 3D enabled

Thanks for the heads up! I did a clean install preserving my settings and it went great. I just had to re-designate WF as my default browser. It loads in 5 seconds.

    Waterfox 14.0.2 Released!

Waterfox 14.0.2 has also been released which fixes the automatic update issue of appearing every time the computer sits idle. You can update via the Waterfox Updater or download the new version from the Downloads page.

When I navigate to the V14.0.2 and click download it takes me to the V14.0.1 download. How do I get to the .2?

I had some serious issues with bookmarks after I used the "restore" feature in the bookmarks menu. They would move all around each time I opened/closed the browser, and if I tried to delete one, they would get all screwed up. I have always used this copy of bookmarks when setting up either firefox or waterfox and have never had a problem.

It still shows 14.0.1 because Mr. Alex didn't change the version info in Waterfox but if you look in your add/remove programs it will say 14.0.2

I downloaded from the website and it automatically redirected to 14.0.2 download show below.

The 'Flickering and scrolling" issues I mentioned in my previous post still haven't been resolved with the release of 14.0.2. Waterfox only works properly with all addons disabled (which is not the case with Firefox.) Disabling the addons in not a viable security option. Will gladly list the addons I use if someone admits there is a problem instead of "good ole boy" back-slapping each other on their gear. I did not receive one comment or suggestion and yet there was an unprecedented official 'fix' which, unfortunately, did not work for me. I may be new to this forum but I'm not new to security. Will try to find the problem by disabling one addon at a time. If that doesn't work, will reluctantly return to Firefox.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded the V14.0.2 you supplied but the Version number remains V14.0.1 when I click about Waterfox after the 14.0.2 installation.

Interestingly, until version 13 the .exe was called firefox, now has become waterfox.

As I have a firefox sandbox, this has meant updating the SandboxIE settings both in Forced Programs as well as in File Access.

I discern no difference in speed between Waterfox and vanilla Firefox.
