Thanks for the link ronjor. :D

I only hope this movie does justice to the original film, of which I am a big fan.

I hope it does also but they usually don't. Like Battlestar Galactia it is not even close to the original.

The original was a masterpiece. Far ahead of it's time. Speilberg is the perfect director for the remake.

Saw it last night. Well done. I can't compare it to the original (haven't seen it), but this one seems to be a decent movie in its own right. Special effects are pretty good and it definitely has a dark, spooky mood. High body count...

Looking forward on seeing this film this weekend. As a Sci-Fi Buff I enjoy good quality movies in this area. The original was outstanding for its time, and I hope this remake is as good!! :)

Not bad. A little more gruesome than the original. Special effects are very good. A fast two hours.

Finally saw War of the Worlds....and I found it to be very good from the aspect of special effects the fear factor played from the beginning to the end. Now I have seen the orig many times and I thought the sequel needed more depth like the orig. Now when the orig was made it was well ahead of its time in respect of special effects more emphasis on the characters than the grumsome body count in this current one.
