It is definitely a better deal at USD39.95, compared to the price of EUR49.95 (about USD63.14) at GDATA.

 

Yes, but upgrades are not free, and renewal cost is 60% of the purchase price.

According to the GDATA site, a new copy of AntiVirusKit 2006 is priced at EUR49.95, an upgrade to AntiVirusKit 2006 (from version 2005 etc) is at EUR34.95. It works out to about 70%!

Not yet, because the purchase site still says the price for AVK 2006 is $39.95

I don't know why they are not selling GDATA AVK Internet Security, because when I contacted them, they said AVK IS 2006 will appear soon on their website with an initial price tag of $55.95, but AVK IS has not appeared on their purchase page

All product upgrades from http://www.antivirus.net.my are priced at about 80% of the retail cost (Upgrades are for AVK 2004-->2005, or 2005-->2006, *not* 2004-->2006).

The renewal price (i.e. you use the same version of the product for another year) is 60% of the retail price.

At this site, the prices usually decrease a few months after they first release the new versions of GDATA products.
