    Ola!

    We have some very neat today - a tutorial showing how to sleep/wake your Linux machine using rtcwake and older apmsleep tools for scheduled (cron) tasks, with emphasis on requirements, BIOS and battery settings, UTC and hardware clock sycnrhonization, and ACPI functionality. Take a look you should.
