When I incrased my W2k Server C: bootpartition (Acronis Disk Director) all seems to work perfect. After Installing MS .NET Framework2.0, I did a reboot on the Server and W2k won't come back anymore. The screen shows: "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: c:\winnt\system32\config\system". I've tried several kb from Ms but nothing did help. Any idea? thx

Was it a Blue Screen STOP error c0000218?

I assume it won't boot into Safe Mode.

If you have a backup image of the partition, you might try restoring it.

It sounds like one or more of the Registry files have become corrupted. If that's the case, the only fixes I know of are to either restore them from a backup or replace them with the originals (when W2K was installed) and then reinstall your programs.
