There is a discussion currently going around BugTraq about how Powerpoint allows or at least could allow malicious persons/users to construct a slide show or presentation to direct your browser to arbitrary URLs, this is because most corporate firewalls and email filters/screeners allow Powerpoint attachments to go through UNFILTERED for BUSINESS REASONS!!! For those interseted the discussion link follows,

Another link forum users may wish to check periodically is

    http://isc.sans.org//index.php

The ISC(Internet Storm Center) is full of useful security info and always has tidbits about the latest virii, discovery of CVE's ( Common Vulnerabilities & Exploits for those who don't know) and plenty of other security news, as well as keeping track of the latest trends in bot scanning for open ports. I recommend stopping in at least once a week or so and browsing through the weeks activity.

    Regards,
