i been thinking of trying out the vpn from these guys. im running malwarebytes pro and it blocked the titled web address. should this be reason of concern in trying this vpn ?
Re: http://vpn.insorg.org/ I don't believe so. It's not insorg.org that's dangerous. Some of its users, OTOH
Re: http://vpn.insorg.org/ I've used vpn.insorg.org on and off for years. Service has been reliable, and customer support has been excellent. I was joking that some of their customers may be dangerous. But that's true for any VPN
Re: http://vpn.insorg.org/ do you think there is a any benefits in running malwarebytes in real time when i am also running nod32 in real time ?
Re: http://vpn.insorg.org/ I just run Linux VMs, one for each "identity" and/or type of activity. I rely on snapshots and backups. And I use LiveCD VMs for risky stuff.
Re: http://vpn.insorg.org/ Yes there is. MBAM is a great tool to use in conjunction with an AV. Use it! On insorg VPN, I had a month with them but there servers were painfully slow. They do offer 3 hop VPN but I found it unusable due to slow speed. I guess you can't expect much from a exit node in China but still it was slow. They are reliable though, and as mirimir said the reason it gets flagged by MBAM is because some of the users are launching malware or spam from their VPN services. The site itself is not dangerous.
Re: http://vpn.insorg.org/ Even their double VPNs are fairly slow. OTOH, they allow three simultaneous connections from the same IP address.
Re: http://vpn.insorg.org/ Not to accuse them or anything, but do you think they are hacked servers? The thought crossed my mind.
Re: http://vpn.insorg.org/ I very much doubt that. They've been around for many years. Initially, most of their customers were in Russia and Eastern Europe.
