I do every time TH, and I also delete the whitelist/start from scratch...so I am really flummoxed.

Indeed...I am perplexed because the earlier betas worked fine but is only since around .34+ that this has been happeningo_O? Go figure?

Exit VS and make sure both processes are not running and go here and Copy and Paste them in an email to dan@voodooshield.com! Maybe he can see something and let you know?

Anytime my friend! The only issue I have is it wants to re-register on every boot up and that's because it's a Laptop but he is working on that one. :)

Is anyone else having problems with the web apps tab causing VS to become unresponsive after VS runs for about 3 hours, or more? If I open the web apps tab, and leave it open for a moment VS will freeze when trying to click on another tab. This has been the case for the last two builds. I'm using Windows 7X64 Ultimate.

    Hi CE

Yup, I think that I have seen that one too although I cannot be completely sure as to the timescale...but suffice to say that at some point after VS has been up for some time the Settings dialog does seem to become unresponsive on occassion.

    Regards, Baldrick

Its the web apps tab causing the problem on my machine. The longer VS runs the worse the freeze gets. I sent a video to Dan showing how bad the freeze is. It freezes for almost a minute, and sometimes VS does not recover at all so I have to kill VS from the task manager.

Great that you can provide some evidence to Dan on this...I am sure that with that he can sort it out.

Sorry I have not been around, it was a rough week and I was pretty sick. The good news is that I got a lot done with VS ;). I think all of the issues are fixed, with the exception of .msi files on Windows XP.

If there are any command lines that you would like me to hard code in, please let me know.

This version is pretty cool... there are a lot of new features under the hood that should make it run really, really well.

Please uninstall, reboot, install, then reboot again. I promise, we will not have to keep doing this. Thank you for your help!

This version blocks my browser and just about everything. Doesn't matter whether in Training, Smart or Disabled mode. I had to exit VS completely, to get my browser to open.

As can be seen, it didn't want to allow anything.

Hey Tarnak, thank you for letting me know. Did you uninstall VS, reboot, reinstall the new version, then reboot again?

BTW, if that does not work, please delete all of the .dat files in this directory:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VoodooShield

Soon we will not have to do things like this ;).

Hmmm, for some reason VoodooShieldService must still be running, even after you rebooted. It should be easy to fix, I will look at it in the morning.

I have no idea why WSA is saying that... this is very odd. I tested 2.47 on 2 different XP systems and it worked great on both systems.

I just had an issue with Windows 8.1 blocking my default picture viewer, so I will have to figure that out too.

Thank you for letting me know, man, if it is not one thing, it is another ;). Sorry about that ;).

VoodooShieldService is still running, even though I have exited the application.

    Clean install of 2.47

Keeps silently blocking. Sometimes VS crashes or other I have to exit VS to get the application to work. I am installing from a download folder but is not nominated as such in Windows.

I have a popup when booting up about Xinside but the pop up disappears as soon as I move the mouse towards. This is from JMicron and is digitally signed. Doesn't seem to matter as it doesn't affect loading the edrives

I will reply to the other posts as soon as we figure out this bug.

Does VS silently block only on startup? Like if you start your computer, exit VS and then start it again, does it work correctly?

After reading through Balrick's posts and doing a little more debugging, I think that there might be a bug in VS on startup when an exe is launched on startup from the appdata or programdata folder. If VS works correctly if you exit out of it and start it again, then I think that is what is going on. I noticed this because my google talk is in the appdata folder, and when it launched on startup, it made VS start silently blocking everything. This should be pretty easy to isolate, thank you for your help!

I tested a little more, and that is definitely the issue, thank you Baldrick and djg05! It should be an easy fix.
