Sorry, I did not mean to discourage you from testing it in a VM!

BTW, I just found another bug. The appdata feature is actually backwards, so anything that copies itself to the appdata folder before executing will run, but is an easy fix.

I tried it on my old laptop which i do to test run apps too. Running windows 8.1.
Installed Voodoo and rebooted. The system became sluggish and non responsive. I couldnt even access start menu or uninstaller. Then I manages to get into advanced startup options after a hard shutdown and shift rebooted.. and rebooted again to safemode and uninstalled voodoo. Now system is working back as it used to.

I may wait for the beta to come out in 3 to 4 days. I'm working on a project right now that I really need to get done. I usually find a lot of bugs early on in most beta's I test. If you already know of a lot of bugs you may want to pull your hair out if I start reporting them now lol

Hmmm, that is a bummer, I thought we had that bug fixed. Maybe it is a 32 bit issue. There should be an event in the Event Viewer / Windows Logs / Application with VoodooShieldService as the source, can you please email that to me? It should be an easy fix. Thank you for the help!

Thank you for helping us test! Were you running 32 or 64 Windows 7?

Getting the same error on Win 8.1 64 bit VM. "Unable to connect to service, there is an end service listening at end.pipe....." I couldn't even get it to start. Had to start in manually from programs.

Yes, right now the user will have to manually launch the GUI. We are working on having the service start the GUI once it has started, we just haven't gotten that far yet ;).

If you get an error when trying to launch the GUI, you might want to check the VoodooShieldService Service and make sure it is up and running.

TH found a bug on 32 bit systems, and it is fixed now, I will release an update tonight or tomorrow. So for now, it is not working with 32 bit systems.

Most of the other bugs should be fixed in 2-4 days. Thank you!

Will VS function as intended in always on mode? I was getting ready to give her a try.

Ok. The service was indeed stopped. Once running it started without an issue. So far so good on win 8.1 64bit VM. Haven't tested it against any nasties yet.

Yes, pretty much, except it might not reactivate when returning to a web app yet, but it will very soon (probably tonight).

Also, it should be fully compatible with 32 bit systems now, if not, please let me know. Thank you!

Sounds great, thank you! When you do test some nasties on it, please let me know how it goes. For some reason, TH's virus scanner was not working, but it works on all of our test systems.

I uploaded a version late last night... I just fixed the 32 bit issue that TH had. Rajesh has a final list of 7-8 bugs / features, and he should have them finished in a couple of days. My part is pretty much finished, I just have a few small tweaks that I am going to make. Then we will have a good, stable beta version. Thank you!

Yes, it is the same one. Once we start the beta test, I will number the versions sequentially.
