I vote for/to keep the Right Click / Exit, and clicking exit will stop the service until the GUI is started again

Thank you guys, my vote is for keeping it as well! So we will keep it! And there is a confirmation on exit, just like before.

Ok, so this is where we are... It really is almost ready, but we have some toggling issues, and I finally figured out late last night what was causing it. It is actually a pretty easy fix, but it is going to take a little time. There are a few other small bugs that will be easy to fix as well. I am guessing this will take about 4-7 days.

But if you guys like, in the mean time I can post kind of an alpha / preview version that you can test on VMs and test machines. Overall it is working great, but when the toggling isn't working correctly, it kind of messes up the entire experience.

Otherwise, if you want to wait until the toggling is working, I am hoping we can have it fixed by Sunday.

If anyone wants to try what we have, let me know and I can compile a version tonight. Thanks again, sorry for the delay.

Edit: BTW, I realize this is a beta version, but I actually think there is a chance that by the time we release the beta version, VS 2.0 will be essentially bug free. We will see ;).

How funny, hehehe. I actually work all the time, if not I get bored. I guess I was just curious if anyone wants to try an Alpha / preview version before the final bugs are fixed. Thank you!

Actually, Saturday (7th day) was His break day. Gen 2.2 :)

I have been using a competing Anti-execution program (its acronym rhymes with "burp") since its inception. However, it has become a bit too much of a Swiss Army knife IMO. So I shall be an interested by-stander re beta-testing of 2.0 VS, preparatory to (probable) switching over 2 it.

BTW -- this is an excellent forum!

Hey bellgamin, good to see you back posting. I don't recall seeing you recently, although I don't follow all the forums here.

Cool, thank you guys! I will post it asap, most likely tomorrow night. I tried to compile it tonight... I had the installer working yesterday but something small went wrong. So I will ask Rajesh in the morning if he knows what the issue is.

I was just thinking that if someone wanted to test it in a VM or on a test machine, they might have some ideas or might see something we are overlooking.

BTW, sorry I have not been able to respond to every post individually the last few weeks. Actually, as of right now, my part is pretty much finished, and Rajesh just has a few more things to do, then figure out the toggling once and for all.

Also, welcome bellgamin, and welcome back siketa ;).

Many mucho takusan THANKS for the "welcomes" -- I have been a long-time gone (life can be difficult at times).

I sympathize with VS & Rajesh. Finding tiny bugs in program code can be very difficult & frustrating. I programmed for the old Atari800XL many years ago, using a form of compiled basic with a stack (like Forth). Its compiler produced fairly efficient code that executed fast enough (barely) for most shoot-em-up games.

My best de-bugging friend in those days was "TRON" (TRace ON) -- which is what they named that old SciFi movie after. TRON & I spent many expletive-filled hours together. :p

Thank you, we appreciate that! Things are going very well, and we are extremely close, and should be able to release something this weekend. If things go right, we should have the final beta by tomorrow night. Sorry again for all of the delays.

Thank you everyone for your patients! Here is kind of a preview version of VS 2.0, but please ONLY RUN IT ON VIRTUAL MACHINES AND TEST SYSTEMS!!!

The toggling is not quite right, but we are very close to fixing it for good. And a couple of features are not quite working right, but the rest of the bugs should be worked out within 3-4 days. Actually, the toggling is kind of working, but Rajesh thought that I wanted it to only toggle in Smart Mode when the user double clicked on it. Also, Protect User Space is not quite working, and Auto Reactivate when returning to a web browser is not working, along with a few other things.

Since we know there are bugs, please wait to post the bugs that you find when we release the real beta version in the next few days!

    http://www.voodooshield.com/freeoffer/Install VoodooShield.2.00 beta.exe

Please remember, please only test on VM's and test machines until we release the real beta version.

Thanks again, and sorry it is taking so long!

BTW, the GUI might start before the service after you reboot your system. Just close the error message and start the GUI from the desktop icon. This will be fixed soon too!

Edit: I almost forgot, please test with Windows 7 for now, the other versions of Windows has a few issues with VS, but we will fix them soon.

Cool, thank you! Just please keep in mind that it is a little buggy, but in 3-4 days we should have most of the remaining bugs fixed, and it should be stable. It might take 3-4 weeks to find all of the bugs and make it really stable.
