Have you left clicked on VS to turn it OFF, or put it in Training by right clicking and choosing Training Mode? Does the item that VS is blocking change its name or path?

Sounds good, thank you! VS 2.0 will work even better for you. We had a few minor setbacks, but VS 2.0 still should be ready by Sunday, or Monday at the very latest.

I'm not sure if Dan meant this Sunday, or Monday, or next since today is Sunday lol He did say earlier this week it may be ready by this weekend. All I can say is it will be ready when it is ready. I know a lot of users here can't wait to test it so I can understand the feeling of urgency. I'm looking forward to it myself.

You guys crack me up, in a good way! We are still very close. We added a quarantine feature and a couple of other small things at the last minute.

Right now we are just trying to get the notifications right, and I have a little bug to work on in the installer (it is not uninstalling correctly on Windows 8 for some reason).

Also, we finally added a UAC prompt to the installer. Basically, if UAC is enabled, the first prompt you will see during installation is the UAC prompt. If UAC is already disabled, you will not see a prompt. If you uninstall, if UAC is OFF, you will get a prompt to turn it back on. Although, we have not tested VS 2.0 extensively with UAC, since it is annoying and would be redundant. But during the beta test, I will test it a lot and see how it does.

But we are super, super close, and will release it ASAP. I am guessing no longer than 24 hours from now, assuming we do not have a major issue with anything, but I think we are past all of the major obstacles.

    Thank you!

Sorry, there are a few more small bugs. VS is not toggling correctly in Smart Mode, and for some reason there is high CPU usage when we right click on VS. Other than that, we are pretty much good to go. I guess the good news is that we should have all of the bugs fixed by the time we release the beta ;).

    Here is what Rajesh said...

"The right click error seems like the server is not running/crashed when we right click. We should look what we did before that crash. If you have any info on that, please let me know. I will look into the other issues by tonight. I hope i can fix all the issues listed by tonight. Then you can do one more testing and give me all the small issues. Then I will work on it."

VS...I completely agree with C_E...a few more days will not matter to us...don't feel pressured to meet an artificial timeline...you don't need it at this time. :D

Only release when you are happy with the new version...I am sure that we all support that. ;)

    Regards

Sounds good, thank you guys. We are ALMOST done, for real this time ;). Besides, there will be a couple of small bugs that we have to work out and some things we will want to tweak. I should get approval late tonight to release VS 2.0 beta. Please only run it on VM's or test systems for the first week or so.

Rajesh and I had a question. One of us wants to do away with the Right Click / Exit, and just have VS run all the time. The other wants to keep the Right Click / Exit, and clicking exit will stop the service until the GUI is started again. Which way do you guys think we should do it? Thank you!

Personally I always like having the option to exit/stop something.

Same here. I vote for keeping the current right=click exit option.

One vote here for the right click-exit/stop functionality but maybe with some notification or user action to confirm the closing?
