VMWare w/Sysprep

HI Guys,

My guys copied an vmware image that has w2k/Metaframe XP SP3/FR3 on it. I created a sysprep answer file. I then ran sysprep and restarted this image, the mini setup file started run I answered the computer name prompt w\ the admin password, clicked next and receive a Application error setup.exe memory addresses were specified and failed to read from memory.

Has anyone tried to sysprep a vmware image and got it to work? Thanks in advance for any information.
