VMware Backup while running

    Here's the set-up

    Dell PowerEdge Server
    CentOS4.4
    VMware Server (the free thing)
    2x Windows 2003 Std Servers


    My question is will it be ok to back-up the Dell server at the Linux Host level while the Virtual Machines are running. I want to create a complete image of the whole system inc the VM so if the server failed i could restore the entire machine to a new server.

    I already have TI Enterprise 9.1 which is backing up fine but just not sure about linux and VM stuff.
