I would like to use VFC with NOD32 version 2.7, but have read that there may be conflicts with AMON continually scanning a process.

    http://www.sphinx-soft.com/Vista/faq.html

"Unexpected disk activity is encountered while running VistaFirewallControl. The activity is mostly related to wfpdiag.etl file and detected by some "monitoring" programs (for instance, AMON/NOD32). The activity is not caused by VistaFirewallControl directly."

Does anyone know if this is really an issue, and is so, can it be corrected?

If not, I will just turn off Vista firewall and install Comodo (I guess this is a good firewall for Vista x64).

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hello Luxeon,

Exclude that file from AMON. To do this follow the steps below:

    1. Open the NOD32 Control Center by clicking the ESET icon next to the system clock or by clicking Start -> All Programs -> Eset -> NOD32 Control Center.

    2. Select the Threat Protection Modules drop down menu, then click AMON.

    3. The AMON File system monitor window appears. Click Setup.

    4. Click the Exclusions tab.

    Thank you,
    Richard

Wow, thank you sir. Your help is greatly appreciated!

I tried to find the answer, but must be pretty bad with the search engine.
