virus scan locks up at 52% complete

    I don't know if it is any help, but Eset knowledge base has an article concerning : Why is the Computer scan hanging? (5.x) it's an article about trying to isolate the file or files, who could cause the scanner to hang.

    For how long were you waiting for the scan to finish? When scanning large archives (e.g. iso), it can take even dozens of minutes to scan them. Check the statistics and see if the number of scanned files is increasing.
