    Vrius usually modifies registry settings
    Does nod32 remove them too?

I am surprised by this answer o_O

I believe in most cirumstances NOD32 would catch the virus before it executes - and thus before any registry changes are made. But in the case where NOD32 detects malware that has already executed (and made registry changes), it would probably just remove the malware, but not necessarily undo the damage done to the registry or other parts of the system.

Just a guess on my part.
