    Hi

The virus guard on RVS2010 will no longer update. The 'Update it now' button in the Virus Guard tab has gone red. I click on it and get the spinning green wheel but it won't read 'updated' and stays red. 'Last update' beneath it reads 'N/A'

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Uli

Check you rvs3.log file. Do you see any communications errors listed?

    Hi Mike

Nothing in the log that says 'communication error' but lots of 'SQLITE_CORRUPT[11]: database disk image is malformed' and other negative sounding stuff.

    Thanks

Try uninstalling then reinstalling to repair the database.

    Hi Uli,
The next release build should provide relief from this type of error by repairing the damaged database during install. If you are able to uninstall, please try the following:

    1. Uninstall your current copy

    2. If uninstall successful, delete the "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Returnil\RVS3\" directory with all the content and then try a new install

If this is successful, you will need to re-register the client and the updating should work properly.

    Hi Mike

    Worked a treat.

Thanks for your help, especially over the holidays. It's really good to have returnil protecting my system again.
