    Dear Security Gurus,

My browser has been hijacked by the ruthless yoursearcher.com terror. A junior member of these forums by the name of Flight has suffered through the same ordeal, but the great people at Wilders Security delivered his browser from the grasp of evil.

I am sure that you know the symptoms. My homepage in IE has been automatically switched yoursearcher.com. Whenever I go into "tools", "internet options" and change my homepage back to Google's mainpage, after 2 or 3 new browser windows it changes back to yoursearcher.com. Also, a few additions have been made to my "favorites" list without my consent. After I go in and delete these from my "favorites" list manually, they reappear shortly. In addition, I also get a shut down request for a "Win Min" program during shutdowns and reboots.

I ran Spybot S&D 1.3 and was able to locate and remove 5 entries of a DSO Expoit. I have tried many things including HijackThis and CWShredder, as well as editing my registry before posting this message. I CANNOT GET RID OF THIS!!! A combination of Unzy and Pieter_Arntz got Flight back on the right track recently. I have high hopes that someone at Wilders can do the same for me. My HijackThis log is below and look forward to hearing from someone soon!

    Pieter,

Egads, again! I followed your instructions to the "t", but the browser went from being hijacked by yoursearcher.com to find4u.net/index.htm!! The identical unwanted favorites have also reappeared. I am posting my latest HijackThis log and I hope you are able to reply as quickly as you did the first time. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Regards,
    Mr. Flog

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://find4u.net/index.htm
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://find4u.net/index.htm
