Hello guys, I could use some help on this.

Some days ago I installed Windows 8 x64 PRO (retail) to give it a try. So far, everything works fine execpt my audio.

My hardware is VIA Audio HD (I'm trying to find out the right version, it's on board).

I really don't know what to do. I followed every fix I could find on Google. So far I've tried their beta driver (10900a), the official driver which can be found at their webpage (10800d I think), Windows generic drivers and no change.

It's really wierd. If I plug in my head phones the audio works. But if I unplug it. I can't hear any sound.

Sometimes the audio works without the head phones for no reason. Like now, I turned my notebook on, audio was working fine. I had to reboot it, no audio lol :p

    Code:

You can also try the latest one from ASUS designed for Windows 8:

    Via Audio Driver v6.0.01.10900

    Code:

Ensure that the default audio playback device is set to "Speakers (<audio card name>" in the Sound Options in control panel.

Have you tried setting the Auto Deck software to run in compatibility mode for Windows 7?

    Already tried roger :/

Right now, the audio is working for no reason. If I reboot my notebook, it'll probably stop working. Is there something I can do now to see why the audio is working?
