Very slow files over the network once updated from V3 to V4

Hi,

We had version 3 installed on the server quite happily. Having uninstalled version 3 and install version 4 were now getting some really slow data issues. When accessing files on the server through desktop PC's the files are taking an age to save and write to. For example what takes a few seconds to write previously now takes about 15-20 seconds. All the settings are pretty much left as default so I can't see any problems. Disabling the antivirus on the server then speeds up the data writing process again.

Is there a way to fix this or should we go back to v3? Or is there anything else i can try. I don't really want to go disabling parts because we never had to previously so if we start disabling parts now the protection level would be lower then version 3.
