    It is fake..
The .dll crack 'looks' activated (expires on year 3000), but it is NOT activated nor work. I cant use 2 or more sandbox at the same time nor forced programs. :\

Why is this sad? Did you honestly think it wouldn't be cracked? Nearly every paid-for software in existence has a crack, and I don't mean your simple everyday run-of-the-mill keygen...

I thought since Tzuk had that protection scheme in 3.48 it would of stopped them people!!

But i guess you are right sir :mad::mad::mad: I think them sort of people need to get out more and maybe get a job or do something more sensible with there time alive

I can`t understand what they get from doing this.. It can`t be money so wHY do they do it then ??
Surely some company must be able to stop these people o_Oo_O

    Nothing is uncrackable.

They most likely do it for fun, the "I did that" feeling, rather than not being able to afford it.

Do you have a business deal with Tzuk or something? Why on earth do you care? Surely you didn't think this new protection scheme was infallible or would stop people from cracking it. Even the online activation will be worked around. Seriously, calm down, as long as there is a market for it, piracy will still be here, no matter who or what tries to stop it.

I meant that you cant run/use 2 or more sandboxes at the same time. Yes, you can make/create 2 or more sandboxes, but not run them at the same time. Can u run more than 2 at the same time?

    'Looks' are deceiving.

Lol, don't take it too much as an insult, I was mostly joking :D

Seriously though Sly, this sort of thing happens to any even somewhat popular software. The vendors know it's going to, they just try to prevent it as much as they can and move on. I sort of have a weird way of looking at it, at least as far as security software goes. If the cracked software can be proven to be clean of malware, and the software has better overall security than the free options, or the free options just don't work well on your system, I say download it. Look, I know it sounds like I'm advocating it, but I do want vendors to be paid for their work. Isn't clean, cracked security software that works well on a users' system better than faulty, or, even worse, no security at all?

I'm lucky in that I don't need to make that kind of choice, but there are more than a handful in the entire world that may have to make such a choice. I'd much rather see people with cracked protection than none at all, any day of the week. I guarantee that statement won't be popular here, but I feel how I feel.

Once the cracked dll is copied over, Sandboxie control fails to start on my Win 7 64 bit system.

I'm betting it's a 32 bit version of the dll. That's about the only way I could explain the error...unless your snitching caused Tzuk to catch on so quick that the program detected the crack and the protection scheme automatically blocked it...far reach there, eh? :D

    A note for clarification:

There have been a few Reported Posts sent in regarding this thread; asking if this is an appropriate topic for the forum?

Having read the posts here carefully, I believe that this thread is just within acceptable guidelines. Merely discussing that a product has been cracked is not an issue. What is out-of-line is discussion of "how to" crack software, or where to find the cracks (this includes even "hinting" at the location, which was done in the first post. I removed the hint.)

Further, this thread does have a timely relevance. Just days ago, SandboxIE released an updated version specifically to address piracy problems. This thread is merely pointing out that that update has possibly not resolved the problem, or at least may have only a limited effectiveness.

We do not believe in sticking our heads in the sand and pretending that cracks don't exist. We certainly do not support anyone cracking software, and we will not allow instructions regarding cracking, references to cracking websites, or any active form of cracking to be discussed or developed here.

I doubt very much Tzur thought he would be able to block cracked dll (serials yes). In the end whoever knowingly chooses cracked security software .....get what they paid for

Some do it for the challenge, others/hackers do it so they can take control of your machine and use it for various illegal activities. so yea money may play a factor.
    ......................................................................................................

If people are dumb enough to infect their own machines by using Cracks/patches and keygens, and open a back door for an attacker to slip thru, its their problem, not the vendors!

Here is an example of a crypter a hacker may use to pack/encrypt join to an .exe misc malware.
Please notice I censored the images and left out names, This is reality and people should know what their dealing with when they use pirated software!

Oh but its juat a false possitive? NOT!
This one has a nice GUI
Typically these rely on the user/s to infect themselves when they execute a file they found on a warez site ect

OMG why do I keep getting infected, but they said it was only a false positive HMN?

Please check out the links in my sig at the bottom, their is more than enough free software out there to cover all of your needs without having to risk your freedom and security. Gizmo's Freeware Reviews is one of the best for finding FREE Software to fit your needs!

For what it's worth, this only works on 32 bit systems. It was clean from what I could tell via a scan with Avast, Hitman Pro and Prevx. I'm sure 64 bit versions will show up soon enough. You're not going to stop anyone who wants something bad enough, you're just not. I can already tell you that the new protection scheme obviously isn't the answer, and neither is online activation, as all it will take is blocking Sandboxie from calling home. That combined with a cracked dll that doesn't need registration pretty much makes this new anti-piracy attempt DOA.
