I just upgraded my RA server to 2.0.33 and now my 2.7 clients will not update from the mirror. The 3.x clients will.

    What's up?

    Hi rcash,

Having a mixed environment of 2.7 + 3.x clients you should have both mirror: LAN Update server 2.7 (give update for 2.7 clients) + ERA 3.

    Do as follow:
    - Install ERA in the machine where Lan Update Server 2.7 is installed.
    - From the console: Tools > Server Option > Updates > Mirror Settings, and active "Create Update Mirror" + "Provide update via ... HTTP server".

REMEMBER: LAN Update server 2.x uses port 8081, ERA uses port 2221.

    Thanks.

I had removed the Lan Update Server and installed the 3.0.621 AV client thinking both 3 and 2.7 could update from the RA 3. I reinstalled Lan Update server and both 2.7 and 3 clients are updating again.

    Thanks again.

I have the same issue... but reading above, I am not clear on how to resolve.

    My server is running NOD32 2.70.32 + RA server 2.70.32 + console 1.0.15...

All 2.70.32 clients 'OK' except 2 of them running 3.0.650 which don't appear in the console. No firewall involved.

Above you say install ERA 3, what file is that? I assume "era_server_nt32_enu.msi"?

What about "era_console_nt32_enu.msi" and "eavbe_nt32_enu.msi" do I need to install those too?

    Hi,

sorry for the inconvenience. In a mixed enviorement you should have 2 MIRRORS.

    1. Using LAN Update Server LAN Update Server (for 2.x clients)

    2. Mirror within ESET Remote Administrator Server (ERAS).

This way ... you protect the server with LAN Update Server... and provide updates to 3x clients plus remote admin with ERAS

On the PC you use for administration... install the console.

"eavbe_nt32_enu.msi" shouldn't be installed on the same machine as LAN Update Server.

    Hope it helps!... best regards
