    Hey all,

Quick question, anybody using Virus Guard add-on on µTorrent?

Read the FAQs, but found it too vague.

If so, any additional information or feedback would be great!

Last time I looked it is not recommended to use two AV Clients at once.
I do a bit of P2P and have not opted in to this feature, many on the uTorrent board and other users see this as bloat. Proceed at your own risk and peril.

After two hours of playing with it, I uninstalled it from my system. Yeah, I have to agree that it's bloatware, so I'm not recommending this, at least for this time.

@siljaline, it seems that it's an on-demand scan solution, so it doesn't conflict with anyone's setup. Thanks for the advise though, cheers!

No, it only scans your downloaded (torrent) files

As previously posted here further up this thead. Edit to add: From what I understand from the documentation, this is an on-demand scanner not an additional AV.

I'm pretty sure any AV can pick up on malware picked up through torrenting.

Well... yes... but they don't usually scan a file when it's downloaded. If this works like it should, then as soon as the file completes BitDefender will scan the file immediately. Kind of like how AVG worked with LimeWire.
