Well I finally did a restore w/ SP. Whole process took only 45min for 32GB. That's great compared to the 6hrs that ATI took for the same drive.

I haven't been able to figure out how to have SP overwrite the back-up image.

I image to two ext HDDs E: Main Drive backs up to C: on Mon, Wed, & Fri. And F: on Tues, Thurs & Sat.

This morning I awoke to find two 32GB.spf images on my F: drive

My criteria: Have one image always up to date on at least one ext HDD. Machine is on 24/7 so I image at 1:30am

Question is: What is the most efficient way to image w/ SP?

Edit: just discovered Retention e.g. overwrite back-up image

There are bunches of ways to use it. Sort of depends on what you want to accomplish.

    Hi Pete,

yeah, I just discovered Retention. That'll allow me to keep / overwrite a number of B/U's.

Since I only want one current and one day old B/U on two separate ext Hdd's, this will work out fine.

    thanks!
