Username & PW

    Hey.
    I was playing around with NOD a moment ago. What I did was leave the temporary username as it was and changed the pw to 'abc123' then tried to connect to server and update. It said NOD32 was up-to-date and no update necessary. I changed it back to proper pw and same thing.
    So could I have put in some 'random' username and pw and still use the commercial version without a problem?

    that's because the check to see if an update is required is NOT authenticated, but the retrieval of an update (when required) *IS* authenticated.
