USB-Stick not shown for Recovery

Ich habe in der Vergangenheit mehrmals Partition Backups auf USB-Sticks gespeichert.
Als ich heute damit eine Wiederherstellung vornehmen wollte, wurde mir von der Wiederherstellungsfunktion das Backup auf dem Stick nicht als Partition angezeigt – aber auch nicht nach dem Kopieren des Backups auf die Festplatte.
Was läuft da schief?

Anmerkung: Der USB-Stick kann nicht das Problem sein, weil ich nach dem vergeblichen Anzeigeversuch für die Wiederherstellung problemlos wieder ein Partition Backup auf dem Stick machen kann.

Above is a rather funky translation via that Google service. It's not clear yet if the problem is USB flash drives are not being detected or if the image files are not being found on them. I recommend the OP post again in English if possible.
