USB HDD issues after using Disk Director

Need some help please.

I used DD to resize the partitions on my internal HDD. Never touched my Maxtor 3200 Personal USB HDD. After completing the resize using unallocated space on the internal, my system will not recognize the USB HDD in "My Computer." It does apper in device manager and in computer management under admin tools.

I removed the USB drive and reattached, removed and transfered data to my laptop, reattached and reformatted using disk manager, checked BIOS, rebooted and still it does not appear as a usable drive in "My Computer."

Any suggestions?

Never mind I figured it out. All of my paths were erased even though I did not direct DD to touch the USB drive

 

Are you implying that DD changed something on the external USB drive even though you were only working on the internal hard drive?

I'm curious if you have any further details. What exactly do you mean by All of my paths were erased...?
