Hi, I have successfully backed up to an external USB drive and had the program validate it.

Now, when trying to restore, the program says it has detected a type of external drive it doesn't support (EZ Drive, I believe it states).

I thought this program supported USB 1 and 2 drives !!

USB 1.1 and 2.0 drives are supported.

What brand and model is your USB drive and what brand and model of computer are you trying to restore?

    Hello Ron,

I believe you tried to restore the system partition (or the entire hard drive image which also contains the partition with OS) and therefore ATI asked to reboot the PC and here the Linux based version of ATI starts the restoration. The issue may not be related to the USB hard drive. If you have Norton GoBack running you should disable it before the following performin operations:

    - restore a disk/system partition from a backup
    - create, resize or delete Acronis Secure Zone

It changes the information about the partitions somehow so ATI thinks that it unsupported.
