Not through email I hope. We don't need yet another chain email, jamming up stuff.

JayK - yes it comes via email so be prudent about mail you open. I spent hours ridding a friend's computer of it.
But before I was able to rid her of it, the worm mailed itself to my addy ... I merely deleted it without opening.

Yesterday, I got 6 worm laden emails and 2 more this a.m. Naturally, I merely deleted them and prevented infection of my computer. None were MyDoom but I expect it to arrive any day. I have a huge contact list and someone there must have a compromised computer. It happens so be on the watch. I think 2004 is going to be a heavy year for worms & viruses.

    Thank you Peaches !!!

I was wondering if he actually read my post...

Maybe I should have said "FYI only; this is not a virus"...

Sigh, both you and Phil misunderstood. I mean, I don't need people emailing me *this* notice. Chances are the networks are being overwhelmed already, without other people sending this notice to everyone they know.

Surprising I got nada so far. At work, though, one of the comps got infected. The help desk guy (actually gal) was utterly incompetent, she was there at 1 pm and when I left at 6, she still hadn't cleared the problem lol.

And yes, that was one computer only.

    JayK,

I guess it was a case of "lost in translation" ! :D :D

Proud to say I got nothing too, but some dimwit at the office let off the "payload" there...
