    Hi,

I am acutally using the Nod32 Server app + the Remote Administration console on about 75 computers. I went on my Remote Administration console and it showed me a warning my software is not up to date. Went on the link and I was asked to pass to version 4.2 I think...

But my question is, since I can't afford to loose antivirus protection for couple of hours. Is updating from version 4.0 to version 4.2 will reset my server configurations?

    Thanks,
    MojoQC

    Hello MojoQC,

Can you please clarify? Are you referring to Windows settings or ESET settings? Also, do you have the exact warning message that you received?

    Thank you,
    Richard

    Yes I can clarify!

What I want to do is updating my console and my server.

My question is : Will this affect my clients? Will they loose antivirus protection temporarely if my server is uninstalled?

And if I reinstall my server. Will I loose my server configurations such has mirror configurations etco_O

    Thanks,
    MojoQC

I upgraded a handful of ERA setups from 3.x to 4.x with success. They all still had the same configuration.

Clients computers wont be affected by the upgrade of ERA, they will keep reporting and updating after the upgrade is successful.

Did you upgrade the ERA server or the ERA console first?
In wich order did you do the upgrade?

    Thanx
    Morten

    Hello,

When upgrading to the latest version, be sure to back up your configurations and packages. I would recommend upgrading in the following order:

    1. install latest ERA Server
    2. install latest ERA Console
    3. push uninstall clients then push install the latest version to clients

Her are a couple of Knowledgebase articles which will lead you step-by-step on upgrading these:

Please let me know if you have any questions or issues.

    Thank you,
    Richard
